Honoring Your Sacred Birth Story

Mothers who are honored and cared for during this sacred time are able to recover physically and emotionally.

The weeks following birth are a season of profound transformation—a "sacred window" where the care you receive shapes your recovery and your bond for a lifetime. I believe that when a mother is nurtured, her whole family thrives.

My postpartum care is designed to protect this time, providing loving guidance for your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Together, we honor the work you have done and support the mother you are becoming.

The Fourth Trimester

  • Your recovery is my priority. In the days following birth, I provide gentle clinical checks to ensure your body is healing beautifully. This includes:

    • Maternal Wellness: Monitoring your physical recovery, including vital signs and perineal healing.

    • Uterine Health: Checking fundal height and firmness to ensure healthy postpartum progress.

    • Breastfeeding Support: Navigating the early days of nursing together, addressing any challenges with gentle guidance.

    • • Emotional Holding: Providing a safe space to discuss the 'baby blues' or deeper emotional shifts, with a bridge to specialized support if needed.

  • Your baby’s first days are a time of wonder and adjustment. I provide a 'circle of safety' by ensuring they are:

    • Breathing & Vitality: Monitoring for normal breathing and healthy activity levels.

    • Thriving & Nourished: Ensuring nursing, voiding, and sleeping patterns are perfectly in tune with their age.

    • Healing Gently: Checking the umbilical cord and monitoring for any early signs of infection.

    • Newborn Screening: Performing essential wellness screenings (24 hours to 7 days) and reviewing the results together.

  • The first days with your baby should be spent in discovery, not paperwork. I provide you with all the necessary guidance and documentation to register your little one’s birth with the state, ensuring the process is smooth, clear, and stress-free.

Nurturing the New Mother

Nurture the Nest:

Create a peaceful space that allows the mother and baby to prioritize rest and physical recovery.

Building a Support Circle:

Arrange for friends, family, or professional help to manage household chores, allowing the new parents to focus entirely on their baby.
